Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2021 Crashes on Wake

It doesn't happen all the time, but quite frequently for a machine that was $2600 (meaning more than once a year). So, here are all the things I've tried at this point: Updated BIOS Updated Drivers Updated Windows Disconnected all peripherals Swapped Thunderbolt 4 display connection to HDMI Attempted not connected to a display (or any other peripheral) Notes about my machine: 11th gen Core i7 16GB RAM 1TB SSD NVidia RTX with Intel onboard run by Optimus Windows 10 Pro (Now Windows 11 Pro since I even tried upgrading to Win 11 to fix this). 4 Desktops where specific software lives Hibernate is turned OFF Daily Software I run: Word Edge and/or Chrome Excel Outlook for 365 Mail Calendar Microsoft To Do Games are played in the evening and all other software is shut down for games. When games are done, I put it to sleep. Go wake in the morning and it's crashed. Put it to sleep after work before games, it crashes when left for more than an hour in sleep. This is incredibly frustrating as I actually sold my MacBook Pro to move to this device because of the level of Quality I'd heard about from others who have owned Razer devices in the past. When it's on and running, it's a dream for the most part, though there is some weird stuttering when swiping through the virtual desktops. It does one of three things: wakes instantly, no issues (uncommon), takes 30-90 seconds to wake (most common), tries wake, cranks the fans, reboots instead, reports crash (once a day or more). The only thing I can find in the Event Viewer is that the OS Started, then a little further up it says that: The previous system shutdown at 10:34:34 PM on ‎9/‎21/‎2021 was unexpected. Other notices include: Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation. That's not helpful because how can I troubleshoot if I can't access the dumpfile? But there's no record in the Event Viewer of a shutdown at 10:34:34. Events jump from 10:19:17 to 11:44:41 with no note of a shutdown. Looking in other areas of the Event Viewer I see a number of errors related to Synapse: Fault bucket 1180412293768119748, type 1 Event Name: APPCRASH Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: Razer Synapse Service Process.exe P2: 1.0.0.0 P3: 61231037 P4: StackHash_9fac P5: 0.0.0.0 P6: 00000000 P7: c000041d P8: PCH_03_FROM_unknown+0x00000000 P9: P10: Attached files: \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\Temp\\WER.b742f710-370b-4172-9dbd-420df6299edd.tmp.mdmp \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\Temp\\WER.afb633e6-a1be-4cfe-a01d-14430f7ca7a9.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\Temp\\WER.4cfa9032-6a1b-4918-825a-5e446057b298.tmp.xml WPR_initiated_DiagTrackMiniLogger_OneTrace_User_Logger_20210915_1 EC_0_inject.etl \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\Temp\\WER.63e77d83-1c58-48bb-b63e-713b1a7cafa4.tmp.etl WPR_initiated_DiagTrackMiniLogger_WPR System Collector_inject.etl \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\Temp\\WER.93d1e1c1-adc3-4a53-a909-29f4c80150a1.tmp.etl \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\Temp\\WER.55dbda9a-9237-4f19-a638-90936d02d3a1.tmp.csv \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\Temp\\WER.df734bc3-9070-4160-8191-73361f9a4851.tmp.txt These files may be available here: \\\\?\\C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WER\\ReportArchive\\AppCrash_Razer Synapse Se_5f28b3bd820dc4949517e2e25bf791384562398_6fa676bb_62ef24ba-1d32-4907-a3ba-2e1ed1e5d073 Analysis symbol: Rechecking for solution: 0 Report Id: b66553c2-06dd-484f-bc74-a0d6f4f20c82 Report Status: 2147487744 Hashed bucket: 8e78ac8764d6a2529061aaba228d85c4 Cab Guid: 0 Also: Faulting application name: Razer Synapse Service Process.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x61231037 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc000041d Fault offset: 0xa991cef2 Faulting process id: 0x8718 Faulting application start time: 0x01d7af65c77d338f Faulting application path: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer\\Synapse3\\Service\\..\\UserProcess\\Razer Synapse Service Process.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: b66553c2-06dd-484f-bc74-a0d6f4f20c82 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: And: Faulting application name: Razer Synapse Service Process.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x61231037 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00000000 Faulting process id: 0x8718 Faulting application start time: 0x01d7af65c77d338f Faulting application path: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer\\Synapse3\\Service\\..\\UserProcess\\Razer Synapse Service Process.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: f3d86089-4fd0-4ee8-bc5e-dbcef7248324 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Lastly: Application: Razer Synapse Service Process.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. BONUS POINTS: Can I set this to wake up from my Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard and/or Mouse? My Surface Go will wake with a press of the button a bluetooth external keyboard, but the Razer I have to lift the lid to wake it, which seems ridiculous in 2021. (First world problems, I know) Thanks everybody!

Let me initiate an investigation about this. Do gather your Synapse logs by following this guide. Then, perform a clean reinstallation of your Synapse. I'd also appreciate it if you'd send me a screenshot of your MSIFO32 so I can take a closer look at your system. You can upload the files on Google Drive and send me the sharable link via PM. Here's how to find the shareable link for the files: 1. Open a file in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. In the top right corner, click Share. 2. Click "Get shareable link" in the top right of the "Share with others" box. 3. To choose whether a person can view, comment, or edit the file, click the Down arrow next to the "Anyone with the link." down arrow icon. *Thread locked to curb the conversation to PMs.
