I don't have an activation code for 7.1 surround sound.

I got Barracuda X headphones for christmas, and just decided to get the 7.1 surround sound, and i've checked everywhere in the box, I don't have the activation code. Please help.

    Why would you need an activation code for 7.1? Why not just go into the device properties and change it?

    Because then there's just no sound at all.

    Did you check the device manager for provisioning errors? You can also go to the control panel (the old one), and click on sound. A dialog box will open listing all the sound devices connected toy your PC. Choose the preferred device. In the general tab near bottom it will list the audio jacks and/or USB. If the device has the jacks it will indicate which you can use. If you are using a usb device then that would have to be taken up with the manufacturer that made it (razer in this case). In the end it doesn't make much of a difference if your headset doesn't have multiple drivers (speakers) on each side not to mention I never figured out how it works without them. My triton has 4 on each side and requires 5 jacks on the sound card and if I use the USB instead I am limited to 2.1.
