Old Naga Epic and Firefly v2

So, what I think is you first should make sure you connect the mouse to your pc using the wired mode. Since changes on synapse 2.0 doesn’t work when the mouse is just connected wirelessly. Also, since the Firefly V2’s surface isn’t on synapse 2.0, I’m pretty sure all you can do for now is maybe set it to the regular firefly, say, the firefly cloth/hard edition. If that still doesn’t work, try and use the “custom” setting on “mouse surface” and see if the Naga picks it up. I hope this helps…

It is connected and I don't see anywhere in 2.0 that let's me set surface options. I will check again when I get home.

2.0 has no surface options. The only thing I can do in 2.0 is adjust the naga settings and it has nothing for surface.

Ok, I rechecked and it seems surface calibration on synapse 2.0 is only supported on the Mamba and the Deathadder. That’s weird, I’m starting to not understand why your naga is acting up. There shouldn’t be an issue for the Naga on most surfaces… I read through the QuickStart guide and I can’t see any notable ways to recalibrate the mouse. Maybe try and see if there’s something with the firefly. Since the mouse works on any other surface, maybe you should try if there’s some issue with the mat or if the mouse is even picking up the existence of the mat.

All the firefly does is light up. There is nothing to not work on it lol. I can flip the firefly over and the naga will work on the back surface. Its like the laser on the naga cant "see" the texture on the surface of the firefly. It is looking more and more like I just need to get a new mouse. The naga is well over 10-15 years old and well used.

I suppose so. Especially since there are so many years in between the Naga epic and the firefly, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Naga can’t catch the texture of the mat, especially because it’s most likely an older sensor than other newer mice. So yeah. I think getting a new mouse is the best bet for you to get a newer mouse that is supported by synapse 3.0, since you can control the mouse and firefly on one synapse. I guess this happens when tech gets too old…
