Cortex deleted all my files

Razer cortex has deleted all of my important files and folders in Download when I scanned in System Clean using the Beta version. Is there any way I can get those files back? I've checked in recycling bin, but it was emptied, and tried using a recovery software to get it back. It did give me everything back, but it's all corrupted and useless. If you can help in any way, I'll be grateful, thanks.

    Hey there! Thank you for sharing your concern with us here. My name is Michelle from the Razer Cortex team. I am so sorry to hear that your files in the downloaded folder were removed. To avoid such issues occurring again, please remove 'Downloaded Files' from your system clean list in Razer Cortex > 'SYSTEM CLEAN' > 'Customize system clean' > 'Downloaded Files'. Please make sure the icon of 'Downloaded Files' is not selected. I attach an image for reference. Please try to google some hard drive recovery tools to try whether your files can be recovered.
