Laptop not turning on without battery.

Hi guys, sorry for the horrid username, they didn't think I should be allowed to change it. Anyway, to the topic at hand, I had left my laptop here at home in Japan for about 2 months whilst I was overseas in America finishing up my move from the States. The laptop was plugged in the entire time, apparently, and when I returned? Swollen battery, warped chassis, unresponsive keyboard, cracked touchpad. (I have a Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2021 version, which doesn't seem capable of running games like Falllout 76 without lag.. ) I also noticed that the laptop was making a horribly loud sound, and the fans seem to be dirty or have a sort of rust-colour that compressed air doesn't fix. So I opened the laptop, and removed the battery due to it's swelling, which was a task and a half. I also removed the metal plate along with it, and am currently looking to order a new battery here in Sapporo. I was told two things, however: That the Battery was needed for the boot process, and then again, that a laptop could boot, provided that it had connection to power. This isn't the case for me. Cord is plugged in, no power. Will a battery fix this, or is my problem a bit bigger than just a battery thing? The reason I ask is because when I did turn it on, it told me that the battery was not detected, meaning that it didn't think a battery was plugged in. Did I somehow screw up the power of my laptop by removing the battery (despite it not being detected in the first place..)? I tried to go through warranty support, because, despite purchasing the available warranties, they wanted to charge me quite a lot to fix earlier issues with this system. Please let me know if any other info is needed. Thanks!

Sorry for the mishap. And yes, leaving the laptop plugged into a power source will still draw power even if it's turned off, and heat will build up eventually. I recommend sending the unit for repair to get the hardware diagnosed before replacing the battery to ensure that the laptop is fully functioning before sending it back to your address. Feel free to send me your case number via PM so I can review your contact history should you want to send in the Razer Blade 15 and get it fixed.
