Hello forum,
I have noticed a strange behaviour in the last 3 - 4 weeks which seems to derive after one of the latest updates of the Synapse software I am afraid.
I am facing a problem with my Deathadder Elite Destiny 2 mouse which is hooked up to an active USB hub together with the Huntsman Elite upon shutdown. Before the updates, the mouse would switch off the light as does the keyboard, when shutting down the PC but lately, only the keyboard goes off and the mouse dims for a second but that fully turn on the light again and stays so upon a new boot.
This has only happened lately but has not been a problem since I have this mouse or on my new PC (specs see below) which I assembled last February 2021.
So, besides the Synapse update, I cannot conclude what should have changed to cause this annyoing behaviour.
If I pull the power supply from the active USB hub and power down the PC, the mouse will turn off.
If power supply from the USB hub is active and I power down the PC, the mouse will stay on even if I pull the plug from the power supply from the USB hub again. I then I have to remove the USB cable from the hub from the PC to finally let the light go out.
There seems to be a strange interconnection from where the mouse is powered or how it interprets the power supply/state.
As said, nothing was changed from the configuration or profiles except updates by the Synapse software and also likely Windows 10 updates.
Things I have checked (but not altered to the worse):
- USB ports charge when power is off is DISABLED in BIOS
- Windows 10 fast boot DISABLED (always have, as boot is fast enough with NVMe anyway), so always full shutdown
- latest BIOS update (nothing changed)
- latest Synapse update (nothing changed)
PC specs:
- Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19044.1706
- AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
- 128 GB RAM
- ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PRO with latest non-BETA BIOS 4204
- Razer Deathadder Elite Destiny 2
- Razer Huntsman Elite
- Razer Synapse 3.7.429.50715
Thank you for your help!
