PS5 Controller Issue

I've been using cortex since last year when I got it with my headphones, so far having no issues. This year I started playing Dark Souls with a PS5 controller, using steam for bluetooth support, but, since last week or so, it started having issues to connect to my PC. I searched for answers and I read that closing cortex would make it work, I did and it connected again, but my PC is not performing as good while playing the game. I tried adding steam to the list of processes not affected by cortex, but can't seem to find it (or if it even is steam that manages it). Any help?
