Razer Blade 15 2018 Model - Faulty Webcam and Internal Microphone

I have been very frustrated to find that the webcam and internal microphone on my Razer Blade 15 laptop has started to misfunction (on and off) the past few months. I have been reading around and found that this is a common issue for this laptop (again, disappointing for the price tag we pay for such an item). I also noticed that the webcam, when it was working, flickers while the laptop is charging (if this is supposed to happen then this is an obvious design flaw). I seemed to get around this issue by disabling and re-enabling the "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" in device manager. Reinstalling the drivers does not help. The BIOS update that was put out does not help. Reinstalling Windows does not help. I am unsure what more I can do to resolve this problem?

    Furthermore, I have completely lost the ability to use the webcam and I have no ability to communicate with anyone over video or audio calls as the internal microphone is faulty too.... Again, the webcam appears on device manager as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"

    Based on the workarounds that you already tried, this is highly likely a hardware problem. Please PM me the serial number of your laptop so I can start a case and forward it to the RMA Team for a repair request. *Thread locked to curb conversation to PM.
