Razer Naga X for CAD

Transitioning from 16 button cursor w/ calcomp 12 x 12 digitizer to a Razer Naga X and dual screen monitors that employ a new version of BricsCAD rather than my old AutoCAD 2002. How do I program a button to send an Alpha Numeric string like "^C^CL;" (Control C, Control C, L, return) to bCAD. I can get a function key to toggle ortho with F8 but I would rather not use Function keys (there are only 12 anyway). I have tried using the "TEXT FUNCTION" option on the left side of of the Synapse software but to no avail. Is there some work around whereby I can transmit an alpha-numeric string to bCAD in order to execute a bCAD command (same as aCAD syntax)?
