No "THX spatial audio" option in playback devices.
Since I bought "Kraken tournament edition" headset I noticed I never had spatial sound. I never knew the headset was supposed to have it to begin with, but when it came to my attention that I was unable to turn it on, I decided to make a thread, in which I was told that I should follow a series of steps to have "THX spatial audio"
as an option for a playback device. The method was installing legacy hardware in the "Device Manager" tab.
Nothing happened after installing the "THX spatial audio" device, and I only had one more download option, which was THX spatial - synapse. After installing it, however, I was met with the following error:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)
The driver could not be loaded because a previous version of the driver is still in memory."
Now, I tried numerous solutions online, but none of them seemed to work. Updating the driver through the properties tab of the device in the Device manager seemed to update it to a "THX spatial audio" device. Thus, I had 2 devices of the same kind, but one of them did not work and displayed a "code 10" error.
I am completely out of options. Device update software did not seem to help, nor did the windows troubleshooter have any effect on the issue. A razer firmware updater said my Razer Kraken tournament edition already has the latest possible firmware installed.
