BSOD issue with razer RZ09-0367CEC3-R3U1 advanced 15"

i did a factory reset and it did another BSOD roughly 2hrs after getting windows reinstalled and had just updated my video drivers. I think it might be component issue over program now.

So update on situation. When I get the BSOD i get the following code, Stop Code: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. Ive done steps that are on microsoft's site and nothing. Ive got windows reinstalled but it doesnt seem to be able to do all its updates, it comes up, There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800706be). Ive run the update troubleshooter which said that it adjusted some files and try again, but it still isnt able to do the necessary update. Ive reached out to razer to see about getting an RMA since my laptop isnt old and has had no problem until this massive one for absolutely no reason, but ive yet to get a response from them. Does anyone know roughly the time frame on even getting a response to tickets? Thanks

Factory reset will do nothing if you have corrupted OS. You can try run cmd as administrator then type "sfc /scannow" - it'll try to search for OS corruption and repair system. Only clean install OS (nuke OS, then clean install windows again). You can also download CrystalDiskInfo app and check disk SMART status is there something wrong or not.

Ive no way to do a clean install, I do not own a copy of windows to install. Ive also tried requesting a system image but it says my laptop needs to be registered.. which it was last year. when i try putting in its information it says its already registered, lol. I got atleast two more different BSOD messages since my last post, one which actually completely locked up the laptop and didnt even let it reset.

Windows 10 ISO is publicly available to download via microsoft website (you can even make bootable USB drive): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 You don't need activation key for it, because it's already embedded in your UEFI BIOS (on motherboard). But before you do it, make a copy of your files (or you can make an image of whole disk with CloneZilla or some Acronis software). And you can try checking your disk with CrystalDiskInfo (mentioned earlier) and test RAM with Memtest86 app.

Thank you for the help. I'll try with making the image file through windows and go from there after work today. Im really hoping its software and not hardware issue.

So I downloaded the media creation and got it installed on my USB drive. Installed a completely new fresh windows after formatting the HD and so far ... knock of wood Ive been good. I was able to fully update windows with the latest updates. I did have to hunt down the synapse drivers and video drivers, but that wasnt really bad and Ive stored them on the usb drive incase i need to reinstall later. Thank you for your help with working through this issue though, Im hoping it was just an update corruption and not a hardware issue that it was starting to seem like. Oh I did run the memory test and chipset test which both passed with no issues.

*sigh* well that didnt last long, Ive started getting BSOD again, despite all hardware tests coming back as passing. Have gotten two BSOD while trying to install CoD: Coldwar.

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing BSOD errors. PM me the serial number of your laptop and share a copy of your receipt so I can start a case and forward your concern to the Software Team. *Thread locked to curb conversation to PM.
