Strange Problem with Razer Naga/Synapse 3.0

I've found a lot of the features of the Synapse software very handy for my work (I'm a network engineer). However, I am running into a strange issue. When I assign a Text Function to one of the side keys, some of the time, instead of inserting the text I have defined for the text function, it inserts the last text I copied to the clipboard. It happens often enough that it's starting to become a little frustration. Is there any way around this? For example, on side key 1 I have a text function that inserts the word "Investigating". I use this when tagging a network trouble ticket to indicate I'm now working on it. When I position the cursor in the appropriate text box on my ticket, instead, as indicated above, pressing 1 inserts the contents of my clipboard. This only happens on web page text input boxes, not in plain text files.
