Screen stuttering on 2018 Razer Blade 15

Hi all,

I have been dealing with this problem on and off for a few years now. It sometimes goes away and sometimes returns.

I have the 2018 base Razer Blade 15 with Nvidia geforce 1060 with maxQ design. The problem is as follows. When I boot up a game (yes, any game), I notice stuttering and a lack of visual smoothness. It looks like lag, but it is as if my screen is failing to keep up with what's going on in the game. The game looks totally normal for a second and then out of nowhere it starts stuttering or skipping frames. It very much resembles lag, but I have never had this problem on my gaming PC. For my Blade, this is NOT a FPS drop issue because I have the specs overlayed on my screen. Nothing seems out of the ordinary except my screen's performance. Might have to do with drivers?

What I have tried:
Nvidia control panel to disable v-sync
Download latest GeForce Experience drivers for my computer
Lowering my graphics settings

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ❤️

Update: setting virtual pre-rendered frames to 4 (up from 1) has been very helpful. It's fixed for the time being.

Hi @Ra1nShadow,

For further isolation, you can try the troubleshooting steps here. If that didn't help, it's best that we start a case so I can raise your concern to the relevant team for a possible repair request. Thanks!
