 Error: Item serial number is unknown

I just bought another Death Adder mouse to replace my old one and I get this error when trying to register it. Error: Item serial number is unknown Can someone please help me ? Thanks Gary

    What model of deathadder is it (could be essential, elite, chroma etc..), and does it register in Razer Synapse? Also, where did you buy the mouse from? Make sure you are typing the serial number correctly, I find it can be hard to tell the difference between "O"s and "0"s when they are wrote as serial numbers on boxes.

    I typed it in correctly. it does not register in Razer Synapse. I purchased it on ebay.

    In that case it sounds like it might be a knock-off deathadder. Ebay tends to have a lot of those around as well.

    That absolutely sucks. I love this mouse and do not want to learn to use another. I will return it NOW and try to find one that is close. THANKS Jenjar

    Next time I would buy off a more trusted site or retailer, not sure where you reside too, but here is a store locator where you can find official resellers of Razer products.

    Hey, @dgarfish. You can also send me a picture of the serial number so I can check it out. It might be a knock-off or maybe not. :)

    Hey @dgarfish, I hid the serial number for security purposes. Also, upon double checking, that does that seem to be a legit serial number. Send me a PM with the picture of the serial number so I can double check. If it is the same as the one you posted, I would suggest returning it to the seller.
