RZ03-01870: No light at all, did I break it?

I took apart my 4-5 year old dinosaur of a keyboard (razer hunstman elite).  It was still working fine, just needed a good cleaning on the switches and everything.  When I put it back together, none of the lighting is working.  No RGB, no indicator (caps/num/scrll lock etc).  I’ve tried the following:

  1. firmware update
  2. drivers update (razer synapse)
  3. factory reset (ESC+CAPS+SPACE, plug-in)
  4. took it apart again to make sure I didn’t miss plugging any of the three connector pins into their respective harness.

Everything is put together correctly, but still no lights…

The keyboard itself works, I am typing on it right now.  Just no light.

Any more ideas, or do I have a hardware issue?  Maybe I scratched the PCB board when I was taking apart or putting together?  Maybe I fried something?  Is it time to just get a new keyboard?

Hello cullyculls,

Can you please check if the issue is happening while the Razer Synapse is closed or disabled? Please try the troubleshooting in this article. If that didn’t help, PM me with the device serial number so I can look into it and provide other workarounds. All the best!
