Razer Blade 14 (2021) speakers crackling

Hi folks,

Looking for advice. I have the 2021 Razer Blade 14 (3070 model) and am having issues with the speakers.

There’s this intermittent crackling sound whenever I’m watching videos online on YouTube, etc. This crackling doesn’t happen in streaming apps, when listening to music on Spotify, or when gaming.

I can’t be definite, but the crackling does also seem to stop when I unplug the laptop.

I’ve tried resetting the device and uninstalling or updating audio drivers, both of which do seem to work for a short while, but eventually, the problem always comes back.

Any other suggestions as to potential solutions I can try? Really frustrating issue, as it means I have to use another device to watch stuff on, and relegates this laptop for just gaming.

Many thanks in advance!

Fez

Hi, I hope you found a solution. What did you do? I have the same problem with the Blade 2022. It only affects the right speaker.

Go to Control Panel > Sounds > Playback > select Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio Audio Codec with THX Spacial Audio) > Advanced > untick “Enable audio Enhancements”.
I also recommend going to the THX software > Audio Settings > set EQ to “Custom”, then change the slider on top to “THX STEREO”.

This has fixed the issue for me. I believe the driver is faulty. Razer should work with realtek to fix this!

Thank you both for replying, and sorry for the long wait - didn’t realise I’d received replies on here! @sulaiman_jm2 Netowi’s fix appears to solve it, thanks so much! Unfortunately, there’s a noticeable dip in audio quality when disabling the settings you’ve mentioned, @netowi , but that’s just something I’ll have to live with until such time as a fix (if it ever does) come through.

Thanks again!
