Seiren v3 Chroma causing Synapse to freeze/hang


I’ve seen a few posts of other more recent Razer microphones causing issues with Synapse, but I haven’t been able to find a thread specific to the Seiren V3 Chroma, so here goes.

 

I love this mic, it sounds great, looks great, and works well, my issue is the mic is causing Synapse to freeze/hang for at least 15-30 seconds at a time. I can’t change any settings without having to wait because Synapse completely freezes up and won’t respond -- I can’t even close the application (unless I kill it from Task Manager). The same freezing/hanging is an issue when I move from tab to tab (Audio, Keyboard, Mouse, etc.). If I disconnect the mic, Synapse works perfectly fine with my other Razer peripherals (mouse, keyboard, headset, and mouse mat). I experience no issues with Synapse when I disconnect Seiren V3, but as soon as the microphone is connected back, Synapse starts to act up.

 

I have the most recent version of Synapse, all my drivers -- including Windows drivers -- are up to date, I’m also using the included USB-C cable that came with the microphone, so I don’t understand what the issue is and why Synapse will only freeze/hang when the Seiren V3 is plugged in.

 

I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled Synapse -- twice -- and same results.

Thank goodness I’m not the only one. This issue was frustrating me so much. I am having this issue too so when I tried to reinstall Synapse 3 (not the new one, that one has issues too for my Naga V2 Pro), and used a guest profile, it was working properly with no freezing and turning the dial knob also shows in the Synapse. But after I logged in and it synced my profile, that’s when it started again.

 

Hoping for a fix.
