Razer blackshark v2 pro 2020 disconnecting randomly

cave999

Hello, i have a problem with my Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2020 edition.
The headset disconnects randomly while in use with the 2.4ghz dongle.

When the problem occurs i hear beeping sound (normally 2-3-5 times) and after that the sound just stopps for abour 20 seconds or so (sometimes more) or even turn off the headset completely by itself..
all drivers are updated even those on the Razer razer wireless charger, mouse, keyboard.. etc.
I will share my build here also -

I’m not sure if this is the issue, but I found another thread in which USB/Bluetooth devices can randomly disconnect due to power saving settings.  There are two places to look.  The first is under Device Manager>Bluetooth.  Right each bluetooth controller and look for power management settings.  In here, there will be a box that states “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”  Turn that off.  This setting was removed in Windows 10 after 2004, so I didn’t have this setting.  The workaround here is to go into Human Interface Devices, this is were I saw my Razer Blackshark V2 Pro.  I right clicked it and disabled that setting.  In fact, I disabled this setting on all of my controllers because I have no need to have my computer randomly turn off my connected devices.  I haven’t tried it out much yet, but it seems like this could fix the issue as it’s likely Windows is prioritizing power over having a wireless connected device.  Hope this helps someone!

UPDATE:  I’ve also removed the power shutdown option for Universal Serial Bus controllers.  I’ve now played 2 days without the headset disconnecting!

Well, the issue came back so this didn’t appear to have fixed the problem.  @Razer Admin is there no fix for this issue?  This was not a cheap headset and these problems appear to be happening to a significant amount of people.

Same thing happens to me. I’ll be playing games or doing anything and I will just hear 2 beeps and they will shut off. Razer synapse says the “Device is switched off” The power button will usually randomly decide to work after many minutes. However, after a couple days of this happening, the power button has fully decided to stop working. Now my headphones just can’t be connected whether it’s wired or wireless. I’ve tried just about every possible solution I’ve seen online and nothing has worked. Tons of people had experienced this issue and somehow there’s no fix?? Does razer even care about the issue at this point...

GOOD QUESTION, @RAZER?

I am also having this exact issue. I used this headset for over a year with no issues until several weeks ago. I am unsure what could have changed to cause them to start disconnecting. I attempted the same fix as mentioned above and it did not fix it. I have also uninstalled every razer product from my PC and reinstalled. I also upgraded from synapse 3 to 4. Nothing has worked. It’s very frustrating. @Razer Admin

They don’t care, i’ve contacted them and all they wanted to know was if my headphones were still under warranty. It should nt be an issue if they are or not, beacause a lot of people are having the same issue. So is the Blackshark a piece of garbage or is it the software. It s hard to believe that a company like that can’t even resolve that.
And we never get anything from Admins except check your msgs.  Why don’t they post solutions instead?
being loyal to their products has no meaning to them unless your still under warranty.

Just popping in to pile on the complaints I guess.

Just did a fresh install of windows 11 on my PC and am having the same sporadic disconnect issues. Headset beeps anywhere from 2 to 8 times while it disconnects and reconnects as if I am out of range, but I am right next to my PC with Line of Sight to the dongle. The issue has happened wired and wirelessly connected.

I have:

  • installed Synapse 4
  • Uninstalled Synapse 4 and installed Synapse 3
  • Uninstalled Synapse 3 and reinstalled Synapse 4
  • Tried the Power Management Solutions in Device Manager from the other thread
  • Ran the Bluetooth troubleshooter
  • Ran the Playing Audio troubleshooter
  • I have uninstalled the device multiple times
  • I have ran Razer’s driver cleanup tool
  • Turned audio enhancements on and off

I also currently use a wired Razer Huntsman 60% Keyboard,  wireless Viper v2 pro Mouse, and 8K Hyperpolling Dongle with no apparent issues.

I am absolutely unable to replicate the issue consistently, it is apparently entirely random. I may go a whole day without the issue, or it may occur every 15-30 minutes.

Without a solution, I will probably be migrating to a new brand soon. I’m a brand shopper, mostly because I’m a minimalist and I don’t like running multiple software, so if I switch from one Razer product, I’ll probably end up ditching them all.

If anyone finds a working solution, please share it with the group!
