I have owned a Kraken Tournament Edition with the THX Audio Controller for about 7 or 8 years. Due to circumstances far beyond my control, my headset was in storage for 5 of those years. Well, now I want to use it again because buying a newer version has the horrible downside of costing money. I’m also using it on a laptop that I didn’t have 5 years ago when my things went into limbo. I don’t seem to be getting anything out of the audio controller. The headset works fine when plugged into the 3.5mm jack on my laptop but is dead when I try to use it with the controller. So my questions are as follows:
- Is there software I need to make the Kraken fully functional?
- Is that software available somewhere?
- Where is it that the software is available?
- Can you phrase the directions in language that an old, Baby Boom, Luddite like me can understand?
Thank you for your time and attention in helping me out of this mess. And, yes, I have tried to pose my questions to Razer’s Byzantine On-Line Support. I’m sure Razer Support is great if one can manage to crack the Kafkaesque Maze between the questioner and a person at Razer who might have an answer. At my age I might not live long enough to get through that mess.
