Synapse 4 does not detect the Windows default audio device

Synapse 4 does not recognize the Windows default audio device. In Windows settings and Control Panel, the correct headset, BlackShark V2 Pro (old one), is selected, but Synapse 4 constantly asks for the headset to be set as the default. This causes none of the headset settings to work—no THX, no mic, volume, or EQ. All required software, like the THX module and APO, is installed.

Several reinstalls, restarts, etc., did not help.

Everything works in Synapse 3.

PS: Running the latest ver of the app and Windows 11 latest up-to-date.

It's been like this for 1 year. every month I get angry and do research. I try. I've tried everything, everything. IT NEVER, EVER GETS FIXED. THANK YOU, RAZER.

Same on my razer blade 16 2024. Sound is muffled on main speakers ever since installing synapse 4. Why have you broken my speakers razer? why?

I've been reporting the sound issues in Synapse 4 since January or February. If you have the THX Spatial App that works better for a lot of devices. Now if someone would just listen to my fix for better audio for all…

 

A. Indicator as to whether game supports THX and is finding the appropriate setting or files. (I am imited on software knowledge) someone else might make better sense of this. Devices with game profiles do not have this issue but C. Needs addressed with game profiles too.

 

B. Customizable EQ profiles with different programs in Synapse 4. Needs to let me customize each and we need a voice EQ added

 

C. Be able to choose THX or not for each app some apps sound terrible. Better using stereo. This is in THX Spatial app. Helps a lot!

 

D.10 steps was excellent on the main. Clio and Surround mode could use more than 3
