THX Spatial Audio & EQ Settings Not Working On Razer Kraken V3 Pro

So recently I noticed no matter what options I have set in the synapse app (3 or 4) it will not change the EQ or THX setting. It appears as it is set but it doesn't actually do anything and I think this is due to the latest windows update. I have tried so many things and none worked. Until, I discovered that there is no section for audio enhancements in windows settings. This should always be set to default device effects for THX to work, but because it is not an option it is disabled. I tried installing custom drivers and reinstalling but nothing made it reappear.

The Kraken V3 Pro page/tab is completely blank since the recent update.

Like you I have also tried reinstalling drivers, updating firmware, using the Pairing tool etc.

The result is still a blank settings page and therefore no access to any sound options whatsoever. Anyone else?

Update: I just accidentally fixed this by logging out of Synapse and logging back in.

Page is no longer blank.

I have the same issue with eq and thx spatial sound. Before I had also this issue with blank screen which got resolved by reinstalling whole windows. But then I noticed that no eq and Spatial Audio works at all. Before the update of the synapse which did that blank screen everything was working just fine.

I think they maybe just secretely stopped supporting kraken v3 pro with thx. If you check the list of compatible headsets on their website kraken v3 pro is not there. Kinda funny isn’t it? I can’t even contact their support directly because my headset isn’t covered by limited warranty anymore.

I have the Kraken V3 Pro and the Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 and the equilizer does not work on either of these on my gaming PC but work OK on my Gaming Laptop.

This has to be a driver / software / compatibility issue of some sort… 3rd party equilizers work fine but sod all when using Synapse 4.

It’s in the hands of Razer Support now. They really need to address this as I need to return either one or both of these headsets.

Yes, it’s a Synapse 4 bug. I’ve also submitted a case with support that EQ doesn’t work (and also few other things on Blackshark V2 Pro) - but no fix from 2 or 3 months.

You would think that there’d be software we could roll back to so that we could have a working version of Synapse, but no. If you obtain an older version of the software, it just downloads the new version and screws you over each time.

We don’t need an automatic update and we especially don’t need bloody cloud saves for our profiles… it’s atrocious.

Come on Razer, get your finger out!

I bought Kraken V3 Hypersense yesterday and when I first plugged them in everything worked, the next day
(today) I plugged them in a different USB port in the back of my PC and EQ and THX stopped working.

It probably won't get better, so return the headphones or use dolby access

I really like the build quality and the sound but I guess I should return them.

If it fixed the issue but the Microphone EQ is not working:

1. Open Device Manager and press Audio inputs and outputs

2. Right click your microphone and press Disable Device

Open the Sound settings, press Recording, then choose your mic, press Properties, then Advanced, and make sure all the boxes are ticked.

Now the only thing that shouldn't work is the MIC MIRRORING that's inside Synapse, but all Mic EQ features should work.

I hope it fixes the issue!!!
