Synapse 4 broke usb support

so i got the blackwidow v4 pro and kraken v4 pro. noticed headset not showing in synapse v3 and updated to v4. after uninstalling v3 and installing v4 with the installer it had me restart my pc. after getting back into windows 10 none of my usb devices are working, including non razer devices. i had to track down and order a ps/2 mouse to do anything on my pc to try to fix this.

uninstalling and reinstalling synapse did nothing. uninstalling the now broken code 19 usb devices and allowing them to reinstall didn’t help as well. tried running system file checker with no luck either.

any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Try doing clean reinstall:

  1. Uninstall Synapse (all versions from your PC)
  2. Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  3. Then restart your PC
  4. After reboot, download the newest Synapse 4 version: https://www.razer.com/synapse-4 and install it as administrator

Hey there. I just installed razer synapse 4 and it worked great for a few days. Then randomly during overwatch 2, my 2nd monitor turned off and on once, my razer keyboard kept dropping a wired connection what seemed like every few seconds (it would just hold the last pressed keys), and this was not fixed by closing razer snapse; my keyboard kept disconnecting and reconnecting.

Even the next day after multiple restarts, it kept doing it. So I decided to RMA my keyboard. The new keyboard worked great for 3 hours. But then it started happening Again but my hyper x mic also wasn't working either. I uninstalled synapse 4 and it didn't go away until I completely installed a fresh copy of windows 11. It works OK now, it dropped twice but seems fine now. If it drops anymore, I'm just uninstalling and going to synapse 3 because that never gave me problems and it was just better (everything in 1 app).

I still notice that when I restart my PC, the keyboard will turn on like normal, but it will disconnect and reconnect when synapse 4 auto starts. It makes the windows 11 disconnect and connect sound. Dunno why the keyboard has to essentially unplug every boot but here we are... Synapse 4 lol

I'd recommend uninstalling with revo uninstaller (jayz2cents demo-ed it on YT) which removes all files related to the selected software and installing synapse 3. If that doesn't work, I'd install a clean version of windows. Good luck out there man.
