Up until this month my 2021 Razer Nari Ultimate have worked great.
And it still works fine… until I actually start playing audio, at which point it starts connecting/disconnecting. I have found some posts about the same issue:
I have tried:
- Updating my BIOS
- Uninstalling every single synapse driver using https://rzr.to/Tf53xj
- Turning my PC on and off
The only response from the “award winning” support team was redirecting users to the replacement parts page which… doesn’t have the dongle available :)
The only other place to buy it is from a sketchy seller for a whopping $30: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLFiMt4
A Reddit post shows that the problem is a badly built dongle, and the fix is to open up the dongle and hotwire a component: https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/12jwyqh/razer_nari_ultimate_dongle_connection_issue/
So now, thanks to Razer’s lack of genuine support, I am left with three options:
- Throw a perfectly good set of headsets away bc of a dongle and swear off Razer for life
- Spend $30 for a dongle from a sketchy online seller
- Open up the dongle and hope it actually fixes it.
I am hoping the support team sees this and figures out a way to help us before I resort to option 3, because it is wasteful to throw a good set of headphone simply because of the dongle and I am not at all experienced in soldering. Even if the solution is releasing a driver that let’s us fully use the headphones while wired, that would better than nothing. At the very least, PLEASE update the component page so we can actually BUY the dongle. Better yet, send us a replacement that won’t stop working in a year or two :)
If anyone else has another solution, I would be grateful for it.
