Synapse causing games to randomly minimise

There’s another thread about this HERE, but since you’ve ignored it for over a year I’m starting this thread to refresh your memories.

Synapse Version: 20241114 is causing games to randomly minimise to desktop. Tried everything from playing around with Windows to talking with Microsoft about it (including everything suggested in the other thread) and the only thing that stops my games from minimising is shutting down synapse.

Either figure out what’s causing it and come up with a fix or I start spreading the news on how incompetent Razor support is on every social media site in existence.

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Try Synapse 4 if you haven’t tried it yet: https://www.razer.com/synapse-4

If you have Razer keyboard you might check to turn on game mode (so you can choose alt+tab to disable this combination or win key for eg).

I’ll give 4 a go. Winows game mode on or off does nothing.

Unsure why but Synapse 4 doesn’t play at all well with my blackwidow elite (RZ03-0262) I can’t get it to set lighting or anything. On the plus side games are no longer minimising.

If I can get the lighting on my blackwidow working then all woould be golden.

I found the issue, it’s really dumb. It’s due to sync conflicts (for me at least), saw some people mentioning that this happens about every 5 to 10 minutes and what do you know.. Sync conflict messages happen every 5 to 10 minutes with this issue. If you go into Razer Synapse and click “local sync” when it eventually pops up the issue magically stops happening until you restart your PC.

Reason for this sync conflict issue could be as follows:
Recently I plugged in my keyboard and started razer synapse on my old PC, this is when the issue started (7 January). It could be a coincidence and maybe just a recent bad update for razer synapse but I kind of doubt that since this has been an issue for multiple people for over a year.

Razer needs to fix this with an update to the Razer Synapse 3 program. Of course the new Razer Synapse 4 program fixes this issue.
