Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K pointer jumps sporadically after click

Hello, mouse pointer of a brand new Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K jumps sometimes immediately after a click, usually to the top of the screen.

Before I return it:

  1. Is this a known issue? y/n?
  2. If so: Is there a workaround/solution? y/n?

Thanks! 🙃

PS: Working in IT for 30 years: Yes, I did reboot etc. etc. ;-)

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Did you’ve rebooted your mousepad? xD

It’s not a known issue, I’d check it on another surface and another PC if possible, but may be something wrong with the mouse, also I’d clean the mouse sensor (just spray some air inside).

It’s logically impossible, that cleaning might be a solution: As said: It happens immediately after a click.

Status Update/BTW: Did some further testing during the return period.

Sporadic jumps don’t go away. Rare but unacceptable. On two systems.

In addition to that: Sometimes very short freezes.

=> Returning this plastic junk.

PS: I found a very thorough Amazon.de review reporting the absolute exact same problem. So it’s definately not a singular problem or a faulty unit.

I tested almost all current top-of-the-line mice. None of the other  manufactureres showed a similar problem. I like the shape and feel of the Razer and the Wheel-Click. But a jumping pointer -  even if happening rarely - is an absolute no-go for me unfortunately.
