Razer Leviathan V2 Detection Fix

LancerPoledancer

Generally the Leviathan V2 will encounter this detection problem if there is an interruption in power delivery when it’s powered on, I tested this to be true by unplugging it from the wall while its turned on and connected to my pc.

Make sure that your plugging the leviathan directly to the wall and not in an extension cable to help avoid this issue from happening randomly.

But if it occurs, I found one replicable way to fix the the issue:

  • Press + and - volume buttons and  the power button together until it powers off to perform a hard reset.
  • Unplug all cables (Typically; Power, USB C and Subwoofer)
  • Hold the power button briefly to drain power (you may see a slight power flash in the RGB)
  • Plug only the power back in, turn it on and test the source switch button (furthest left button), if it freely switches from green to blue then your good to go.
  • If it does not, repeat the steps until it does, it takes me usually around 10 attempts until it starts working again with some outliers.

Man, haven't tried it yet, definitely will do. BUT. Thanks for your time and God bless people like you! Cause my Leviathan sitting w no life for about a couple of months exactly because of this issue. I'm holding my fingers crossed to get it back to work. Fun fact, while you got this issue you can connect to Lev w Bluetooth + mobile app and control RGB. Thought something was wrong w power because RGB was to weak, bought new power supply brick, still nothing, only after I figured out in app (by absolute coincidence) that default RGB brightness is set to 40%. Had to return power supply 😁

Unfortunately, it didn't help

What I was doing:

Hard reset 1st time

Unplugged all 3 cables

Pressed power button couple of times.

Plug power back in

Turn on

Checked source button

Reset

Power out

Spam power button

Power back

Turn on

Source button check

And 20 times exactly this algorithm

Hmm, maybe it was something specific about the way I was doing it. I will test if the speed in which you perform the resets and the power drainage flashes from holding the power button right after removing the power cable are necessary. Check back within the next couple days when I find the time I will be more specific and maybe have a video link showing the process.

@LancerPoledancer Thank you so much! Gonna try different variations as well

This method worked for me. In addition to unplugging everything from the bar I also unplugged the power cord from the wall so it could drain too. Pressing the power button didn’t flash any lights but I proceeded to press it and hold it down briefly a bunch of times for about 30 seconds. Then I plugged the power back into the wall and into the bar and the source button started working again. Connecting it to the computer it was instantly recognized.

Damn that's crazy encouraging. This worked for you from the first attempt?

Yes it worked the first time I tried it. I also had this problem happen a couple of months ago and it went away on its own after leaving it unplugged for about 24 hours but that didn’t work this time so I searched up this solution.

Worked like a charm at first time tried to do this. Thank you very much.

My problem is that it doesn’t switch back from blue to green, from bluetooth to PC source.

Tried above tips various times. I assume we want Windows to connect to the sound bar, well it does, for like three seconds. The disconnects again, and I can repeat above mentioned procedures to no avail.

  • disconnect all three cables from rear
  • connect only power cable
  • power on
  • - | + |  PWR simultaneously until lights go off
  • hit power button again once or thrice or 21 times for “a while” but less than a minute
  • disconnect power from wall to drain AC adapter ( why not just disconnect the AC adapter from the wall cable, easier for me at least )
  • connect ONLY power
  • hit start button
  • hit Mode button for blue flashing
  • hit connect BT in windows
  • it connects like three seconds then drop conn again
  • start over
  • -
  • start over
  • seriously?
  • start over
  • I am not doing this again

I also downgraded my software to Razer version 3, after all my soundbar was manufactured in 2021 so perhaps older drivers would help, but I do not really know if any older drivers were installed.

However: there it is

and there

Happened to me as well when I switched my default output from leviathan to my barracuda headset on my PC. Fixed mine by following the hard reset instructions below, and then after I turned on the speaker, I pressed the Bluetooth button until it was visible to my devices and I connected to it to my laptop, and to my surprise the sound was back, and the source button turned from green to blue. I then connected the sub and usb (which was connected to my pc), and pressed the blue source button and like magic it was connected to my pc. Hope this works for you as well bros.

  • Unplug all cables (Typically; Power, USB C and Subwoofer)
  • Hold the power button briefly to drain power (you may see a slight power flash in the RGB)
  • Plug only the power back in.
  • Press the Bluetooth button until it becomes visible to my other devices. In this case, I used my laptop to connect to my leviathan’s Bluetooth. After I connected, the source button turned from green to blue. Now all I had to do was to press the source button and it automatically connected back to my PC.

Hope this will work for you guys. I thought mine got bricked, and it was a heartbreaking experience. I’m sorry if it’s a bit confusing, I’m not really good in writing shit. lol
