Wolverine Controller Switching Pad with stick

Hi, I am currently using a raiju ultimate controller and some buttons are wearing and sometimes getting stuck. I’m thinking about getting a new one and was looking at the wolverine v3 (pro) controllers. I noticed that the left stick is at the top and the pad below it. I prefer having the left stick at the same height as the right stick. Is the pad and the stick interchangeable? Also are the controllers backwards compatible with windows 10?
