7.1 Surround Sound no longer working with Kraken

I've recently bought a Razer Kraken headset that came with the 7.1 SS download, and I loved the difference it made to audio through the headset. Idk if it was a Windows update or something but now the application just won't let me use the headset, and instead just tells me to "Please use Razer Synapse to configure this device" I'll try to include the screenshot and hope it posts (i dont really use threads so i'm new) I have no idea what it wants me to configure, and I don't know why all of a sudden it's telling me to do this when it was fine earlier. If anyone has any idea, please help out, I really want to be able to use it again.

Synapse 3.0 has built-in support for the Kraken TE so you have to go on the app should you want to take advantage of the feature. There may have been an update on the standalone 7.1 Surround app to correct this oversight.

i am facing the same problem. I used kraken X (aux 3.5 connector) and Nommo chroma and with all work with the 7.1 surround sound app. but when I plug kraken kitten edition in. it won't appear on the list (just like the picture) and it make me confuse. So what this app will do?

So the Kraken just uses the Synapse 3 now instead of the 7.1 application?

All USB Razer headsets that are supported on Synapse 3, won't work with the standalone app. This is because the app was designed to bring the surround sound experience to analog headsets.

that's what i thought too. the 7.1 standalone app is only support for some headsets/ speakers (like my kraken X/ pro V2 or Nommo) using Aux cord and can't connect with synapse 3.

Pretty much. If you have a Kraken X, you can use the standalone app. But you'll have to select Realtek or what sound card you have on the 7.1 Surround app.
