Razer Phone 2 Wireless Charger work with Synapse?

Hi, all! I just had a quick question; my understanding from reading a few articles is that the lighting for the wireless charger that is sold to work with the Razer Phone 2 can be controlled via the phone. I wanted to see if anyone knew if there was any compatibility with Chroma/Synapse on the PC so that it can be synchronized with the lighting on all of my other Razer peripherals. Please let me know. Thanks! :big_grin_:

It's not listed on the compatible devices for syanpse 3 so I would assume it wouldn't be no.

No it is definitely not compatible with synapse 3, you cant even plug it in you PC. however, you can control the lighting on it through the chroma app on your phone, but the only effects available at the moment are, Breathing, static and spectrum cycle. Be warned though, these chargers are loud and make an annoying noise, almost the like a coil whining sound. very annoying if you were to charge your phone next to you when you sleep, not so bad if you have the tv on then you cant here is as much. I think I might have a defect as someone else said his is quiet.....what a nightmare I am having with Razer customer service trying to send it back! Hope this helps

I think The Wireless charger has a fan inside of it for cooling (you can feel the breeze when you touch the back of the wireless charger) so it's probably what you're hearing. It also has a wave setting too so it has 4 settings.

That is exactly what I can hear and it is very annoying, beyond what words can describe. I have never heard a wireless charger make the slightest sound ever. Do you have one and can you hear yours?

Nah never but the Anker wireless charger I was using beforehand did leave the phone warm when taken off overnight while the Razer one keeps it nice and cool thanks to the fan inside of it so it has a purpose at least.

I agree with that..... my old samsung one got pretty hot, but the Razer wireless phone charger does keep the phone cooler. its just the loud fan that lets it down badly for me. especially since I was really looking forward to this and waited ages for it to be in stock on the razer store, just to get sent a defect and Razer support is making life more difficult than it needs to be. I am seriously considering never using Razer ever again and I never thought I would ever say that. after all the 1000's of pounds I have put into Razer, they dont care....quick to take my money, but cant be arsed to replace broken items

Are you sure it's broken and the noise isn't simply just the fan going?

No it's not totally quiet you can definitely hear the fan spinning as soon as you put your phone on the charger to cool it down.

Yeah, it doesnt make a sound when it is idle...but as soon as I put my RP2 on, the fan just kicks off. like I said before, its not so bad if you have background noise like a tv to drown it out, but it is very annoying in a quiet room if you are trying to sleep or something.

Yeah that's completely normal then, the fan is there to keep the phone nice and cool (and the unit itself) so it does have a purpose and tbh I'm glad the R&D at Razer put one in as wireless charging can make the phone quite hot. Everyone is different if it's a deal breaker you can return it bug the sound to me isn't a bother but then again I sleep with my tablet playing videos so I hardly hear it.

That one I can't be sure about I'm afraid but to make sure one works I would recommend a flat charger to make sure the coils line up.
