Thresher for Xbox One

Just recently my Thresher for Xbox One has had mic issues. The mic is only working part of the time. Is there a way to test it? My xbox had an update the messed up my One X and I had to do a soft reset. Did the update mess up the drivers for the Thresher? The sound works great but mic only transmits part of the time
