Headset audio issues

I have recently purchased a Razer Nari headset. For some reason I am having a lot of issues with audio quality. Playing games I am getting noticeable audio lag as well as choppy sound and static like audio pretty frequently. This is the first gaming headset I have owned so as far as troubleshooting methods I am at a loss. I know for sure that I only have these issues with the headset so I do not think it is a pc issue. Audio is perfectly fine on my HIFI system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Jacob
