Razer Synapse is a virus-free software. I tested this on VirusTotal and studied internet traffic on my own computer. If I were you I would refrain from using services like Mcafee and Norton as they reduce PC performance and tend to have adware. If you want to keep your computer safe then I suggest scanning any downloaded files with Virustotal or using open source anti-virus programs like Clamwin.
