Razer phone 2 wifi drops

ive had my razer phone 2 for about a week now. and im finding it drops from the wifi for a few seconds very often while im gaming or using social media like facebook or youtube or anything internet related. none of my other devices have this problem. galaxyS7, iphone7 xbox, nintendo switch, laptop galaxy tablet. i know its not my router. ive tried the basic steps: -forget the wifi, re connect. -make sure i have good wifi signal strength ( happens when wifi is full and im right beside the router) -factory reset the phone. the phone still disconnects from the wifi. i have read that others have had this issue, could this be a defective unit?

    yes, since this post ive disabled my Bluetooth and since then no wifi drops. doesn't make much sense to me but it worked
