Kraken 2019 vs Tournament edition

So i am planning to buy a new headset, kraken 2019 is some bucks cheaper than TE which i know is technically speaking better cause the thx integration, so that few extra bucks might worth it, however i ve seen some alarming topics about the thx not working, people disabling the thx service to be able to use their headset, mic not working (all of this it might be specific cases tho) and some even say the headset sounds better with the thx off which is weird cause i supposed the extra bucks was precisely for the thx feature which make the headset in theory, better, so what do you suggest guys? btw i am planning to use it both for the PS4 PRO (i dunno if being pro changes something but there is that) and for my PC in games like BFV, Apex, mainly shooters. so and please if someone who have the te or the 2019 could give me their personal thoughts of them i will appreciate it. thanks in advance.

    I have kraken te, couldnt use thx once because of synapse 3 ahahah i'd go with kraken 2019. All kraken te users using it stereo nothing changes untill synapse 3 released non-beta

    It's the very first time that I've bought a Razer headset and I'm pretty satisfied so far! I picked the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition because it pretty much does everything I want and need. The THX is pretty good to be honest! It works perfectly fine in games like Apex Legends and Titanfall 2. I would definitely recommend it. Today, there occurred a pretty weird issue: There are two settings, one for Game and the other one is Chat. Unfortunately, there is a sizzle coming out of the headphones as soon as I pick Game and I think it's because of Synapse 3 (as it's gone as soon as I uninstall it). I don't know the reason behind it but it's weird... Still, I'd recommend you to buy the TE!

    Don't waste your $ on these... They suck tbh its not even worth me typing it all out to tell you all the issues U had within the first couple of hrs of purchase

    This might be a little late but I will try to help you out and anyone whos curious like me and you and happens to find this post. I bought the Razer kraken TE and already had problems like the headset not showing up on Synapse 2 or 3, the LED for the THX receiver not working or the headset not showing up on Windows without going through the receiver. The sound quality was better with the receiver but I couldnt really tweak it to my liking because of synapse and the receiver barely changed the quality at all. You also cant use the windows sound thing and turn that down to mute incoming sound like with the dial on the blackwidow elite or any macro keys (my experience, might be different for others). I refunded them and bought the Kraken 2019 today. Im going to update this and tell you my experience with them.
