Razer Huntsman Elite Bent

I just got myself a Razer Huntsman elite and upon opening and plugging it in I discovered that it is slightly curved along the width of the keyboard, The wrist rest as well as the keyboard are exhibiting the same issue. I wondering if it's normal or is my keyboard defective, it doesn't make a difference while typing but it creates issues when attaching the wrist-rest, you can clearly see the gold pad sticking out from a gat between the keyboard and wrist-rest. It just seems unfathomable that such a defect would be normal on a 200$ keyboard. It's not the standard I've come to expect from Razer or any product in that price range for that matter. I used the blackwidow X before upgrading to the huntsman elite and it felt much sturdier to type on. Sometimes when I lay my hands on the rest pad i can hear the plastic warping. Have any of you had a similar issue? I've attached a picture where the issue can be seen.
