Is there any different with the pinging between yellows and oranges?

Hello, so I purchased a BlackWidow Elite with orange switches, and it's a really good keyboard. However, it has quite the metallic ping, enough to get mildly irritating. Would the yellow switches offer any bit of relief from that? I just wondered, I already tried the greens, but they were a little too clicky for my taste. I really love their keyboards though, the wrist rest is fantastic, keycaps are very smooth and the RGB is simply amazing in terms of quality. Any advice in general for combating this ping would be awesome. Thanks!

I am guessing your "metallic ping" in correct terms it is called "tactile bump". I love oranges switches, because it is silent and tactile bump included. Yellow switches are silent, linear and faster response compared to Green and Orange Definition of linear is there is no tactile bump, so there is no metallic ping, just plain press. For pro gaming, Yellow switch is highly preferable, because it responds faster than previous predecessors and who sort of cares about the tactile bump during serious gaming? For typist and workers, Orange switch is preferable, because of the tactile bump. The design of the IBM M keyboards that brought the world of tactile bump keys. It was revolutionary.

Thanks for the info! I'm just trying to debate if it's worth trading this one back for the yellow switch one, or if the pinging noise would pretty much remain unchanged, as it appears to be a common problem with Razer's keyboards.

Every consumer product from different manufacturer (logitech, CORSAIR, R Λ Z Ξ R etc). If there are areas where people / consumers like about, there are things that people do not like as well. To me it does not matter~~~ I still like my 6 year old RAZER BW Stealth 2014 Even though Synapse 3 cannot interact with my keyboard, I like the Orange Switches and will continue use till the end
