Razer Viper 8K Not Working/Detected

JASPERthinkAwesome607

After using this mouse for 3 months, I encountered issues with it suddenly disconnecting when I lift the mouse from the surface. After approximately 2 months, it stopped working completely and is not being detected in Windows (So I cannot update its firmware). I have already attempted connecting it to other computers and laptops, as well as performing a clean reinstallation of Razer Synapse 3 and deleting mouse drivers. The DPI Stage is blinks fast when I cover the mouse sensor but that’s about it. The product is no longer under warranty. Can someone please help me?

This just happened to me as well. After opening up the mouse I measured about 60 ohm on the 5V wire between the USB plug and the connector in the mouse. This was in turn caused a voltage drop in the and I measured only 3.0V on the input connector(should be 5V). After debugging a bit more I figured out that the 60 ohm was caused by a bad solder where the USB connector is connected to the cable. The USB connector is filled with glue or some kind of plastic making it almost impossible to take apart and repairing. I ended up just replacing the USB connector. Replacing a USB connector involves a bit of soldering, but I to think replacement cables are possible to buy if you do not have a soldering iron.
