I just got my RP 2 two days ago. I've been spending a ton of time getting all my accounts set up since I switched from an iPhone 7. This morning was my first morning listing to my regular podcast on the way to work and I noticed that I have no lock screen controls. I literally spent hours after getting home from work trying to figure out how to get simple music controls on my lock screen.
Am I missing something, is this an android 8.1 issue or did Razer drop the ball that bad on one of the most basic functions that every other phone seemed to have.

What's the app you're using?
Amazon, Play Music, Castbox podcast app. I'm having trouble logging I to my Pandora account so that one isn't tested yet. I find it really troublesome that the Google Play Music app won't even work.
That's....not right. All those app have lockscreen controls for me so something isn't working. Do you have a secure lockscreen set up and if so is it set up to hide notifications?
So after multiple tries and changing the settings, it finally worked, however, not on the first try. I actually had to open both google music and amazon music at the same time and have them queued up on a song at the same time before the controls would show up on the lock screen. I found that out by accident when google music was playing a song but still no lock screen controls and I frustratingly opened amazon and just started playing a song forcing google to pause. Some how, that was the magic trick. No it works flawlessly as I expected it to.

Appreciate it. Now if we can just hurry and get Pie so that my Android auto will work.
If your phone is unlocked pie should start rolling out next week sometime. Subject to change of course cause you never know with these things.
It is, I bought it from the Microsoft Store. Good deal too, I didn't realize their $150 off sale had ended and they started another promo with the wireless charger and hammerhead ear buds included free. However, they still had the price tag on the display with the $150 discount. So they honored the discounted price and still gave me the charger and earbuds for free.
