My Razer Abyssus Essential mouse won't color sync with my keyboard.

I got this mouse from my friend. I have no prior knowledge of it being damaged but it doesn't look damaged. It wouldn't glow at all when I opened up the Razer Synapse app. So, I uninstalled it and that fixed my problem. Though now everytime I start my computer up and my mouse and keyboard light up, the mouse starts on a different color than the keyboard does and begins to cycle. Help?
