7.1 surround sound plays only from laptop's built in speakers.


The 7.1 software tells me to select the Speakers (7.1 Surround Sound) as system's default playback device. If I do it, the sound stops playing from the headset and starts playing from the laptop's built in speakers. What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Update: Sound from games and Discord plays from headset. Sounds from media players play from laptop's speakers.

Are you doing this within the THX Spatial Audio Software or in the audio options for Windows? You choose your desired output device, I'm guessing your headset, in the THX Spatial Audio software and then choose, THX 7.1 as your Windows playback device found in the sound icon in your system tray. Thanks for replying. I have the 7.1 Surround Sound program, the Razer Central and the Razer Synapse. I just tried purchasing the THX Spatial Audio, but I encounter problems during the checkout: My country (Greece) can't be found in the drop down menu when my address is asked. Also, when I select Greece from the

top right icon, it redirects me to another page, where the THX Spatial Audio doesn't exist. The available software is Razer Cortex, Razer Surround and Razer Synapse. THX can't be found. A screenshot: I can't even install the trial version, I get a server connectivity error message, while my internet connection works fine...

Not sure why THX Spatial Audio isn't popping up in the EU store. Here's a direct link to the EU detail page: https://www.razer.com/eu-en/thx-spatial-audio Have you tried reaching out to support? I can also try to help out if you send over some screenshots (either as a PM or here). Make sure to remove any personal information! Screenshots of your Windows Sound Settings and the 7.1 Surround Sound settings could be useful.

When I proceed to the check out, I have to select my country in a list. There are some EU countries but not all of them, including Greece.

Not yet, at first I try getting help from the others and then, if I can't find solution, I contact the support. If the solution is found in a forum, other users facing the same problem can find it easier.
