I'm thinking about buying a new headset since the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition has somewhat of a short in it that connects to the dongle that makes me sound like a robot most of the time. I would use the warranty, but I didn't know about the ridiculous requirement that I needed to keep the receipt from the transaction. The audio is really good on the ones I have, but I'm looking to maybe upgrade. What do you guys recommend?

It is hard to say, When people are after headsets, they like to go over the followings (there could be more)
  • Comfort
  • outside noise cancellation
  • Flexible use (PC, Xbox, PS etc)
  • Wired / Wireless
  • Durability
I have Kraken TE and Nari, both are good headset. I would say Kraken TE has better sound quality, Nari has better durability I have seen posts, where Kraken TE head strap extender snapped, because it could not handle the burden of fitting onto a big head. One side of Nari was not able to produce audio output. In the end, RAZER produce great headsets, but there are those 1 / 1000th customer that face accidental setbacks or something that goes wrong.

All very true. Since I built my PC, I haven't even thought about picking up my Xbox One again, so I don't really care at all about the compatibility between the two. Durability, Comfort, and Sound Quality. Those are the trifecta for me, but it seems as though I can only pick 2.

Suggestion don't buy razer until they fix the crackling audio problem in their software.
