Hi Razer Community,

My name is Ahadi, and I’m experiencing a persistent issue with my Razer BlackShark V2 Hyperspeed headphones when using them in wired mode with my iPad Pro 2024 (M4 chip). I hope someone can help me resolve this.

Here’s the problem:

• When I connect the headphones via Bluetooth, the sound is loud, but there’s some latency and reduced clarity.

• To address this, I switched to wired mode using the provided USB-C to USB-A cable.

• I’ve tried connecting directly to my iPad’s USB-C port and via a Hama adapter (with 100W power delivery, USB-A 5Gbps 3.2 Gen 1). However, in wired mode, the volume becomes significantly lower than when using Bluetooth, although the clarity is fine.

What I’ve Tried So Far:

1. Firmware Update: I updated the headphones using the Razer Synapse app on my PC.

2. Direct Connection: I connected the headphones directly to the iPad without any adapters, but the volume issue persists.

3. Adapter Use: I tested with a Hama adapter that supports 100W power delivery and high-speed data transfer (5Gbps).

4. iPad Settings:

• Disabled Headphone Safety in iPad settings.

• Checked EQ and sound output settings.

5. Other Notes:

• The iPad is running the latest iPadOS.

• The headphones work fine on my PC in both wired and wireless modes.

Key Points:

• I want to use these headphones in wired mode on my iPad for competitive gaming (PUBG) to ensure low latency and high-quality sound.

• I also want to charge my iPad while using the headphones.

Questions:

1. Is there any way to resolve the low volume issue in wired mode on iPad?

2. Does the iPad’s USB-C port force its own DAC instead of allowing the headphones’ DAC to work?

3. Should I use a specific adapter or external DAC to improve audio performance?

I’d appreciate any guidance or recommendations. Thank you for your help!

Best regards,

Ahadi
