Hi,
so here I received the Razer Nommo Pro yesterday, I was happy until I realized that when the screen / computer is in standby and there is no sound, the speakers automatically turn off after 30 minutes.
I contacted Razer support who told me that it was done expressly there was a system of automatic shutdown after 30 minutes of inactivity.
But I need to have my speakers on 24 hours a day for my work, I get important alerts and the computer rings to warn me.
Someone knows if there is a way to stop because ? I tried several things (bluetooth mode, usb, jack... and always the same)
If there is nothing I will return them but it's a shame, I don't understand why they made a system like that, my old speaker was turn on 24 hours a day without prob, it's useless, turn off the lights/chroma yes I understand but from there to completely turn off the speakers....
Thank you.

I have the Nommo Chroma and i haven't run into this issue.
I know the speakers have to be turned on each time they lose power.
Speakers NEED AC power (plugged into the wall)
Usb is for Audio and Chroma.
I don't see a setting under synapse 3
Maybe you can try using razer surround. uses the old synapse.

Hope all works out

Its own firmware with a independent time-out?
Wonder if this happens with Chroma? would it turn off lighting effects as well?

Yes I tried with an old Synapse but there is no additional option, of course all the equipment is well connected, I did several tests in bluetooth, usb, optic...

I think there's nothing to do yes but I find it absurd, I know that nowadays there are many electrical devices that go into standby alone (I've never found it useful) BUT in all the devices (consoles, tv, soundbar..) I've had so far I could choose "sleep in 30 minutes, 1hours, never", it seems like a basic setting for me, even a Chinese 10euros electrical device offers this kind of option, whereas it's still 500euros speakers...
In addition the time of standby is ridiculous, I made the test, and the standby is done after 20 minutes (without sound), I very often happen to be in the room but to have the screen off and still want to have heard the notifications on my computer
I found a partial solution that basically consists in the computer launching a sound every 15 minutes with a program, so they don't go into standby, but it's really annoying... I still think I'll return them to Amazon and take them back if one day Razer decides to do an update by implementing such a basic option.

If that was the case, I would just keep the speakers and use a separate dinky one as my alarm speaker. Switch sources and you’re all set. The Nommo Pros are damn good speakers and not having a sleeper function is far from a dealbreaker. Some other people may find that this being returned for the sole reason of no standby feature may also find it ridiculous. Glad I’ll be keeping mine plus got a 4 year warranty on it slapped on for cheap. So this speakers will serve me for many years to come.

I don't really want to have more speakers, the laziness of changing the source and my desk it's already messy enough :p
For the return the person on the live chat told me that there was no problem that I could return the product for this reason, I know that for some it may be silly but for me an option like this is really important (more than having 10 options to be able to make light with chroma, even if it is fun for 5 minutes)

Thank you, damn i never read those manual, I was with a razer agent for an hour in chat last time, he could have told me, thank you
How do you disable the standby mode? By pressing and holding the standby button it turns off the speakers instead

Few posts above @csuntico give page from manual how to do this just scroll up.
One complaint for me - if you turn off standby mode and shut the unit off manually from the control pod the Chroma lights remain on.
When you use standby mode and the speakers go into standby everything turns off. I would think if you power the unit off and aren't using standby you would want everything off as well.
I use standby anyway so it's not a big deal, just something I noticed when learning the speakers.

Use Razer Nommo Pro app in Google Play store, connect with your device, enter the app and in the right corner are the settings, there you might find what you're looking for!
I also don't understand how to turn off standby mode. The directions in the manual just seems to turn off the unit entirely and not enable/disable standby. Can someone please comprehend how to do this? Just bought a Nommo Pro and almost about to return it due to the automatic standby issue. Thanks.

You have to press and hold the power button on the control pod for ten seconds. Doing this switches between standby or auto shut off after like 10-20 minutes. Also you can do this in the app as Sky4u stated - setttings, touch the "i" next to the device name and the setting is in there.
