razer barracuda x volume uneven

todaybestVividYellow129

hello, i am new here and this is one of my first razer products

my razer barracuda x is not working properly as if i raise the volume any higher than the one i have right now my left ear hears louder sounds than my right ear does

i have balanced the audio on windows and my headphones so i can hear them both, but the left headphone is louder than the right one no matter what.

i would like some advice on what to do since i am not good at figuring out what the problem is

notes: if you would like some more detail please tell me and i will provide more

I’ve had the same experience with the Razer Barracuda (not Barracuda X). After spending a week testing my software and even my hearing I sent it in for replacement and received one with exactly the same issue. At this point I’m done purchasing Razer audio products.

At last found the fix.

Right click on Speaker Icon → Click on Sounds(Not “Open Sound Settings”) → Click on Playback → Now you will see two speakers if you have installed  “7.1 Surround Sound”,  one is Speaker(7.1 Surround Sound) and the other one is Speaker(Razer Barracuda X), so right click on Sepaker(Razer Barracuda X) → go to properties → click on Levels → click on Balance → Now keep both(L & R) identical → Click apply and ok

Now test

wow, it worked. Its so weird because I havent messed with my sound settings in months, but I go to the levels, and one side was on 17 while the other was on 47. Naturally, I got scared my 9 months new headset is nearing its end. What coulda caused it to change sides by itself lol? THANKS
