Razer Nari Ultimate disconnects by playing sound

Userlevel 2

Hello everyone!
One moth ago I experienced the issue with disconnection of Razer Nari Ultimate. I read a lot of Threads, tried a ton of solutions but nothing helps.
The issue is: Whenever an sound comes, my PC (Win 11) disconnects and reconnects the USB-Dongle. I tried it on my second PC (Win 10) and the disconnection ist still there.
Is there any solution for it?

Thanks in advance!

Turns out the problem is fairly easy to fix. If you have other wireless peripherals, specially Razer ones, you will want to put the USB for the Razer Nari Ultimate as far away as possible from all the other USB dongles. Apparently, the headphones will pick up the signal and try to connect to all other USBs connected to your computer and thus will disconnect and reconnect continuously. Another thing that this will fix is that it'll allow Windows sound drivers to also give you control over the sound settings through other devices. Also, before I moved the USB I couldn't control the audio from using my keyboard shortcuts and I thought there was compatibility issue, but it turned out to be the USB as well.

It really isnt easy to fix, I did all I could for 11 hours to fix it and nothing worked, the dongle doesnt connect and when it does it stops anytime any sound plays, I dont have any bluetooth device on the PC and it doesnt work, just has a nonstop blue flashing light and wont connect to synapse either

Same problem here, I was thinking to change the USB dongle but it's hard to find and too expensif….for uncertain result. I hope Razer will take a look at our problem because for a premium brand it’s their duty to provide this service.

I’m having the same problem. I've plugged in the dongle in almost every USB port on my PC, but nothing works. I also reinstalled synapse and cortex but that didn’t do anything. I didn’t have this problem until I upgraded my computer a few days ago. I don’t know what caused it though.

This same exact thing happened to me. It started when my computer crashed sorta, and i was putting off a windows update so when it crashed i just booted down my pc and then it updated when i turned it back on. Then when any sound is played it will make a single “beep” noise and i will see the flashing blue light on my headphones. I have tried everything, from updating drivers, to uninstalling synapse, but nothing works and it still disconnects. I have also noticed, while my headphones do the blue blinking light thing, and my usb is still plugged in for wireless mode, it makes my computer extremely laggy, almost like its still trying to connect. If anyone has an answer please let me know 🙏🏻

Exact same problem here. Its infuriating. I would like to add that in addition to trying everything above, I also tried the Razer Nari Ultimate ‘Pairing Tool’. It re-pairs.. but as soon as a sound plays in Windows 11.. back to square one with Naris disconnecting. The crazy thing is.. they work on my tower (used them last night for hours), but not my X17R2, which is where the problem started. Both machines are completely up to date for Win11 and Synapse.. RAZER???

Well , what do you know? The same problem started on my PC 1 day ago. Everything was working fine for 1-2 years , but now - every time the sound is played Nari Ultimate's just disconnects AND when sound is stopped it connects again. I tried almost every possible suggestion in the internet ( reinstalling/turning off Spatial audio and other). Nothing works. RAZER??

I just experienced the exact same problem today, with my Razer Nari Ultimate Wireless USB Headset. I tried to disconnect my other USB wireless devices and only connect my Wireless Headset, as soon as a sound/music plays, my USB dongle disconnects immediately. It then reconnects when it goes silent.
If there’s no permanent fix to this issue, I’ll have to switch with worse headsets and smaller earpads that can’t fit my ears. I’ll miss the oval headset cushion on these.

Hi,

I just wanted to post an update. If you are experiencing this issue, please consider trying the following:

  1. Run Windows Diagnostics.
  2. Run Dell Support Assist for latest updates
  3. Run Windows updates for latest updates
  4. Roll back Intel Wireless Bluetooth (if applicable to you)
  5. Reinstalled latest Intel Wireless Bluetooth (if applicable to you)
  6. Uninstalled and reinstalled Razer Synapse. (Clean of all Razer apps)
  7. Use the Razer Nari Ultimate Pairing Utility to Successfully Re-Pair

If you are still experiencing the connection drop as soon as a sound plays, contact Razer support to check on your warranty window. Razer is aware of this issue and a rep will work with you on a RMA if applicable.

I am testing my replacement headset right now as I type this, running it alongside other audio based wireless connections (ie BHAptics X40 vest) and everything is working normally.

I wish support could have shed some light on the cause of this issue, but they may also still be trying to pin it down as the reports are coming in. Many of our headsets of this model are in the 1-2 year use case range.

In any case, the RMA process was painless. I chose the advanced option as it made more sense to me, but I would encourage anyone with this specific failure to contact Razer support. They were great to work with.

Specifically, I would like to thank @Razer.Zionzedd for the attention, help and professionalism.

Please just be patient and know that they are listening. There are a lot of platform configurations to sort through out there.

Best and Good Luck.

Thanks a lot! I was already thinking to buy a new headset!
Putting USB for the Razer Nari Ultimate as far away as possible (Headset at the back and all the rest at the front of PC) from all the other Razer USB dongles (I have all Razer setup) has solved the issue!

@RogueAsgard hi man, I see all soloutions for on pc but not on the ps5. Would you possibly know any fixes for on the ps5???

Same issue here, started yesterday. Impossible to use the headset anymore.

I have this issue since about a month and a half… When I plug in the dongle it seems to connect at first and is shown in my “Playback” sounds tab. But as soon as I play a sound it will disconnect and keep reconnecting followed by a disconnect after a split second, almost instant. So then its stuck in an infinite reconnect disconnect loop.

Also I dont have any other razer usb dongle products which could cause interferance as some users suggested.

I couldnt figure out a solution for a month now. A worthy note is that this issue also appears on my laptop, so it seems like a Razer issue for sure.

Im having this issue now, i also tried all re-pairing dongle and razer nari sistems and it still doesnt work, thats so strange and my PC is super hot while the headset is trying to connect, idk what makes this but it needs to be fixed asap

I’m having the same issue now too. Just started happening a while ago and can’t fix it. So frustrating.. Hope there’s a fix soon

I have the Nari Ultimate and this problem started for me two nights ago and now with the receiver connected it keeps alternating to my other audio inputs as soon as you attempt to use it to play audio or test its audio. I can confirm I am having the same issues with the Nari Ultimate Headset currently as well and have spent about 4-6 hours troubleshooting the issue and from what I have determined is it is related to the Synapse software. I came here to see if others were having the same issue to confirm my theory.

exact same issue here. The fact it seemed to happen to multiple of us all of a sudden tells me it might be a recent update issue? I don’t know, just thinking. Still super upsetting regardless, like you I’ve spent quite a few hours trying to troubleshoot the issue with no luck unfortunately

A Razer headset that has intermittent sound might be caused by dirt or debris in audio ports and on the audio jack, improperly plugged in audio jack, hub connections, operated outside the maximum wireless range, wireless interference, software issues, or faulty audio drivers
