Razer thresher ultimate xbox one

So i purchased the above headset, im browsing sound settings etc, so whats peoples user preferences as far as dolby digital, dolby atmos for headphones and windows sonic, i played an ATMOS film (venom) didnt really notice much difference from my corsair HS50s

Playing blackout and other BR games that involve sound to be very important i was hoping to edge being able to hear footsteps clearer but seems the latter i hear them less somehow, despite this headset being higher frequency ranged than my corsair set

My current settings are out of the box settings bitstream out and dolby digital so the hub deals the 7.1 out as it should or is 7.1 only when the dolby button is pressed if thats true then all that button seems to do is add reverb to the sound including mic audio which is a tad annoying

Anyone use windows sonic etc see any differences from the dolby digital?

Priority in this headset is console play so on pc there is no adjustment the only thing is set audio from stereo to 7.1 on base station it self. The most of this headset you can get via console in this case xbox where you can adjust settings for them to whatever you like. Adudio you seak about depends what kind of connection you use you will have the normal usb/wirless compression when you use usb and mouch better sound on optical input. First try to connect your device via optical input set to 7.1 on pc give you good sound on console you will have great sound becose you can adjust settings to your like.
Im confused by the above lol!

on usb sound have more compression so the quality is lower then optivcal input you have. If you want better sound overall just use optical cable if your pc support it. On pc headset have preset EQ that you cant change on xbox you can change the sound settings for headset in settings tab.
Its plugged in via optical cable to the xbox, and no presets to mess with, just window sonic, dolby atmos or the stereo uncompressed dolby digital option which in blackout makes the footsteps etc quieter for some reason

Ok so can you connect headset to another device via optical input to cheack if the sound is the same ? It's hard to say if this is your personal expirience or real issue 🙂
Not saying its an issue really just seems not very 7.1 or if its 7.1 via dolby digital it lacks definition of directional sound which is kinda the point to the headset itself
