I'm saving money for a Kraken V2 Pro, but I heard people say that the Razer products are overpriced and their quality is terrible.
Should I buy Razer headsets? Or go for something like Logitech G633?

I’m not sure what platform you are using but I can tell you my experience with the Thresher Ultimates on Xbox One. I just now registered to the forums just to give you my take. I am beyond impressed with what Razer has to offer. I went through a few high end pairs before I came to this conclusion. I can only imagine they put the same quality in to their other headset products that they did mine. The build quality is strong yet sleek and the sound feels impactful and clear. There’s tiny nitpicking I can do but after going through the competition I can say that Razer at the very least gets the core functions correct.

This might not pursuade you 100 percent but I had to give my take on their headsets. You do get what you pay for and they are definitely worth the money!

Razer has good high quality headsets that aren't anymore expensive than all the other brands. There have been duds like the ManOWar that broke frequently, but I've really liked my Kraken 7.1 V2's for the last 1.5 years and they still look brand new.

Razer i think have little better quality then other manufactures if you compare Void Pro to Kraken lineup yyou will see the diffrence 😛 The only downside right know is synapse 3 but if you dont buy Nari you will use old synapse and have np. issue and you will be very happy 😛

Ah synapse 3 doesn’t work very good with Nari Ultimate? The virtual Surround Sound seems to be lacking on the Nommo Pro with the software and the Bose Companion 5 speakers offer a far better simulated surround sound experience that doesn’t need an app. Granted I think the Nommo Pro sound awesome no doubt. But there needs to be a major overhaul with the new synapse. 2.0 is just simpler and smoother.
I mean razer is great. If you are looking for alternatives, the steelseries arctis and the corsair void are solid.

I have Razer Megalodon for over 5 years now. It's a bit older model, but it still serves me very well.

don't you find the flaking of the cups a nuisance?
my kraken after about 18 months flaked so bad that i dumped it and got myself a G633.
My Kraken 7.1 V2 and Electra 7.1 V2 have been very useful and offer solid sound. The Kraken in particular has been good to listen to music. Just make sure you get the Kraken Pro V2, Kraken Tournament Edition or the 7.1 V2 I have. They seem to have a more solid build and offer head adjustment. Good luck

Other companies do that? So if you broke or misplace something, they will replace or refund it?
Please, tell me which company does that.

NO!!!! Absolutely NOT! While they sound good for a month they cost between 80 and 100 dollars. The razer kraken 7.1 is already not supported by synaps anymore. That means you have NO EQ or lighting control. No volume control, NOTHING anymore. NEVER EVER buy razer audio.

I disagree with the above sentiment. I've owned both the Kraken mobile and the Blackshark. Both have been retired (cable issue on Km and missing microphone screw on BS).

BOTH of these headsets were impressive. Both had 50mm drivers. I got plenty of use out of them before the end. Not enough, for sure. But plenty.

Compared to what was out at the time... on a scale of Turtle Beach (trash) to Beats by Dre (at the time was premo) these are closer to Beats in sound quality.

Build quality is nice too. I'm waiting on a return of the Blacksharks especially.

There are some flukes tho, like Man O War. Headband snaps apperently. Just make sure to read the reviews.

Im not a huge Rzr fan, as in I do not simply buy them because of the brand. I think there is always room for improvement. They are not Bose. Rzr should try as hard as they can to be better than Bose, just like the Razer Blade and Razer Phone give us an excellent alternative to Apple.

As I have mentioned in a different thread, Im waiting on a Tiamat 7.1 refresh with a 32 bit DAC / headphone amp.

Razer listens to our requests and our feedback, which is why I appreciate them and have spent $$$$ on many of their products.

If they spent more on hiring and training programmers, the software wouldnt be as buggy. This is something they will work out eventually as they are now publically traded. They will start listening to us more or the stock will fall.

They've always been on the side of quality and innovation tho. Most other companies that put out products for gamers use cheap plastic. Comes off trashy like its for little kids. Rzr feels quality in your hand.

Go with a Razer headset and you wont be disappointed usually. Other gaming brands are basically toys for children.

MaxPowers is just a web troll. Let start with this you say razer sell new hardwere and gont gibve warranty this is the most stupid thing i read for a long time. For synapse support yes ihey dont support synapse 3 becose there is synapse 2 support where you can adjust or change settings or chroma lights so yeah go to another forum write stupid posts.
I would have to say no, sorry razer. I have had 2 pairs of krakens, a 7.1 and the mobile version, the quality of the headsets is terrible, like really. My kraken mobiles, cable broke after 2 months, but it is luckily replacable for the "cheap" price of $20. The 7.1 was fine, but it's just getting really uncomfortable after 5 months time. And don't even get me started on the mic...

I would recommend the HyperX cloud 2 which i'm rocking now. I have had no problems except the hinge is kinda broken after i dropped it on my bathroom floor too many times xD

And to those of you who are calling me a razer hater, i'm not lol. I have spent like $500 on razer products and im impressed overall, the headsets and mice are just bad imo.

On topic, I have Razer Megalodon headset for over 5 years now, and it serves me very well. No problem at all.
Maybe there are some quality issues with new headsets, but I can tell you from my experience that I am more than satisfied with my Megalodon.

Had a pair of Kraken 7.1 v2 for some time now. Been nothing but thrilled with them. Are there audiophile quality sets that sound better? - sure (sennheiser I'm looking at you!) but at 3x the cost...eh. Eventually replaced the ear pads with a set of cooling gel ones ($20 from Razer) as I wear them alot and mah ears get hot. I'd also note they are fairly rugged. They've held up to my hectic public commute routine very well.

Lacking support in Synapse v3 is a bummer, (Ahem!) hopefully Razer gets this up and running soonish as having both synapse 2/3 for various products isn't my fave...

The Nari models look OK (similiar in form factor to the Kraken), but IDK how i feel about wireless...

anyway, my buck-o-five as it were, good luck!
