For over half a year now I have had a honestly very painful audio bug that completely destroyed my PC experience. The audio spiked to insanly high dB without raising the bars in the volume mixer when starting any new activity (YT, Spotify, Games etc.) and then returned to normal values after 1-2 seconds. I have read through the threads in the forum regarding the audio spiking and did not find any solution. Nevertheless, I did not give up since I like THX Spatial and as the Razer support team suggested, disabling all the sound enhancements was not an option (but it also worked).
I played around with the audio settings in Win11 and noticed that I must have changed things whilst deactivating all the audio devices I am not using anyways.
So, in a nutshell, → Win+R → mmsys.cpl → right click on the headset → properties → Surround Sound → make sure it is not set to “deactivate” but is on Windows Sonic (I must have deactivated it in my wish to get rid of everything that may interfere with Razer Synapse) → Setting it to Sonic helped me to further enjoy Razers audio quality and THX in any kind of game.
