Thresher vs Nari Decision

I am racking my brain over this decision and I'm hoping to get some additional insight. I am trying to decide between the following headset, which will see use on both PC and PS4 equally:

  • Thresher 7.1 PS4
  • Thresher Ultimate PS4
  • Nari Wireless

I was considering the Thresher Ultimate, but while it comes with the base, does it also include the USB dongle?

Similarly, with the Thresher 7.1 PS4, as I understand it, in order to receive the actual 7.1 Surround Sound and not just stereo, the optical cable is required to be inserted into the USB dongle? Is this also true for use with a PC or can the Thresher utilize 7.1 Surround Sound using only the USB dongle and more advanced USB drivers?

Alternatively, I was looking into the Nari Wireless, but it seems like it is only able to receive stereo on PS4?

So from what I can tell, but would like a second opinion/confirmation, is that each headset works for PC and PS4, but the Thresher has superior audio quality on PS4 and the Nari has superior quality on PC. I guess if I can be reassured that Thresher 7.1 can still receive Surround Sound on PC, then that would be the better choice, but it also depends on whether or not that requires an optical output.

Assuming I'm leaning towards the Thresher, then I still have the decision whether I want the Ultimate or not, and if it comes with a separate USB dongle. I would likely be moving back and forth from PC to PS4 pretty regularly, but they are in different rooms as well, so ideally I would rather not have to lug the stand back and forth too just so it can connect to each.

Can someone please provide some additionally information and/or second opinion?
