I'm gonna give it a try. Curious to see if it works with my Kraken Pro V.2.

It isn't compatible with the Nari Ultimate, the app says that this device should be configured using Synapse instead.
Does this mean that Synapse will be updated with the features found in this standalone app?

Also, does this interact with the Windows 10 Spatial Audio ecosystem, allowing it to work with games that support spatial audio natively? Otherwise it is dead on arrival.

We had the THX audio system option when we purchased the Raze's headset. Do we still need to purchase this THX system? And what's the difference between both?

Moreover, will it have a mobile version that allows us to modify the earphone performance?
(I know the Dolby Atom installed in RazerPhone2, but just asking for an alternative.)

Tried it out. Its almost the same as the Dolby Atmos but yikes at the $20 price. I mean this should be bundled with Razer headsets considering Razer Surround has been dead for a while now.


Unless it is proven to actually support games and movies that have Spatial Sound already, it is atually WORSE than Dolby. I will try making some tests later today to confirm that, because I LOVE it when audio pages explain absolutely nothing about what they're selling.

EDIT: Just checked, it does NOT support true Spatial audio in games that support it. A pity, but I'm sadly not surprised either.

No, what THX Spatial Audio does is simulate 7.1 surround sound on your headset, the same way Dolby Atmos and other apps that use the Windows Sonic API do.

Buying a headset with 7.1 discreet speakers defeat the purpose of the software entirely and you'd be locking yourself out of software solutions like this one.

Will owners of Razer Surround be required to purchase the THX Spatial Audio package as well to continue using the functionality in Synapse 3, or will we be offered an upgrade?

The software I got (for free) with my Kraken X Lite (Razer 7.1 surround sound) does exactly that as far as I can understand -- the headset was advertised as "coming with a software that simulates 7.1 surround sound". Now it's asking me whether I want to upgrade and buy THX Spatial Audio at half price.

Does anybody know what is the difference between the 'default' 7.1 surround sound "simulator" (for which I got the code with my headset) and this new THX spatial audio, and is it worth buying on top of the provided 7.1 software for Kraken X Lite?

No option to purchase this in Asia Pacific region so far. Very disappointing since it is just software where the trial version can be downloaded, but can't be upgraded at all.

Just a scam. It's the old razer surround software (which was free and was broke by razer just before the "new" THX release) with a new user interface. Pitiful...
